- Out of Bounds – beyond any boundary fence, wall, white stakes or line bounding the course, including being in or beyond the Kintra Burn to the left of the 1st and 2nd holes and the Machrie Burn to the left of the 10th hole. The beach is also out of bounds.
- All fixed sprinkler heads, signs, benches, irrigation boxes, drain covers, gravel roadways or turf protection mesh are deemed abnormal course conditions and relief may be obtained under (Rule 16) without penalty.
